A common assumption I have to correct early: that this works like a dispensary trip, where you show up, get something, and leave. It doesn't. The law here is built around a supervised session at a licensed facility, not a purchase.
What tends to arise in this work
Under Colorado's Natural Medicine Health Act, the medicine must be consumed on-site, at a licensed healing center, in the presence of a licensed facilitator. You cannot take it with you, and it cannot be shipped or mailed to you before or after, under any circumstances.
Beyond the legal mechanics, the emotional experience for visitors is often more intense than they anticipated, in part because they're doing this away from home, without their usual routines to land in afterward.
